for those of you mentioning the REO network ....is it safe to say that you did BPOS....or worked with REOS before getting on that site?

What do you mean safe? Are you going to lie about doing BPOS and REOS?

I can't imagine how you would attract AMs to use you if you don't have REO/BPO experience. But what you say needs to be truthful, easier to remember, but also many verify information.

Tony - yes, you have to have experience with REO to get on REONetwork, they do ask for references and verify as far as I know.

I was just checking....I tried to register with them...and I saw areas that asked how many REOS and a lender to verify.....

When I heard about the site ....I didnt hear someone say..make sure you have done a few of them before you register....

So...I was just doublechecking with you all......

Cool..now I know.....was sort of bummed...seemed like a great site......guess I will have to wait on that...

Tony -

I am an asset manager for one of the largest default servicers in the nation and have used reonetwork for over 8 years.

They are a great site for finding agents, they are just overstuffed with agents to do any new ones any good.

The newest site is reoallstars.com - they even have a free listing.

This is the site that I and my fellow asset managers have started to use to find our new agents.

I hope this helps you out.

Thanks

Just curious. If you have used reonetwork for over 8 years and think they are a great site for finding agents, why are you using a new site to find new agents? I mean, if you are saying one is overstuffed with agents, why would you have to go anywhere else? It seems a bit suspect. Again, just curious.

I have to agree with you RecoveringAgent - According to Whois.com, the owner Click Marketing and has a fake phone number and the address is a Mail Boxes, etc address. There are not really a lot of people registered on the site, major metro areas only and since he recently just registered here and the domain name, I believe it is blatant attempt at free advertising.

Wow -

Talk about reaching.

I never said that I do not use reo network, because I do still use their site everyday.

I was just saying for any new agents that this site has many, many agents already listed on it.

I am trying to help out all you agents that are looking for additional REO work. I actually use many different sites to find agents, although most are filled with agents I already use.

Here are the sites we use:

REO network
reobroker.com
reoagents.net
fannie mae website
reotrans
resnet
reoallstars
reoassigns
nrba

I am trying to help you agents out and this is the kind of backlash that goes on here?

You finally get someone here that can help you grow your business and you want to run them off, amazing!

I will leave this forum and all you agents alone since you do not want the help.

Good luck to the few of you that seem to be truly interested in trying to gain knowledge about the REO industry, If you want some insight from the asset manager perspective or have any questions you can send me a PM since I won't be posting here again.

Thanks

Jeff has been all over Active Rain for the past week or so pumping REO AllStars. There he says he is an AM for OOMC and he goes to REO AllStars first.

Don't know what's true and what's hype, but he would have a hard time finding agents locally on his site.

What is the point of giving this person a hard time. If he is promoting, who is hurt.
We need more asset mangers on this site, those that are on are very helpfull and usually can answer our dumb questions with a different view.

Well. I'll admit that I signed up for the site. I had seen jeff's comments on an AR blog, but I forgot to check this site. It does seem that he is promoting this product. The thing is I had read this post a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to double check to make sure this was a reputable company to work with, with the members of this forum. >.< .
......
Well one of us has to be able to tell the others if they get listings from this directory. I'll keep you guys posted.

I am thinking of joining. They recently reassigned one of my listings and I noticed that the agent they gave it to just joined reo network in 2008. The thing that irritates me is that it seems that his office is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away. But it seems to be paying off for him, according to his testimony.

I am finding it hard to pull the trigger on REO Network. That is a lot money for month for six months and no gurantee, Though I am tempted. There are only 8 premium partners in my area and only two agents who actually are with-in 10 miles of my market place.

Ditto. I wonder if anyone attributes a measurable degree of success to having a "Premium Membership". I have the Free membership and havent gotten any contact from any AM as a result of having my info on display there. I occasionally consider paying the money to find out

Yeah, I am listed in the free section too, and I have not recieved anything. I guess it does not help that my name is at the bottom of the heap of about 20 agents in the free section.

everytime you refresh the screen, the list of agents changes, so sometimes you will be at the top, and sometimes the bottom.

after going back and reading some of the older posts about reo network, i think im going to hold off on upgrading right now, and try to come up with some other ways to make myself standout.

In my area there were only 3 premium partners, 2 of which were within 15 miles and 1 was about 2 hours away. The agents who were premium handle an extremely large amount of the local REO business, and I decided to give it a shot as well. I upgraded today and will let you know what ROI I see.

Anyone have any luck with Nationwide REO Network?
I just a call from to update my profile and join for $695.00 for premier membership. Not a lot of hype or promises the guy said i should get a few calls and a couple of listings. One makes it worth, just not sure with all these companies charging these fees.

I am planning upgrade to premium from free this week when my credit card cycles to the next month. I have been on REONEtwork since CC was bpo tracker (4 or 5 years?). I have never had a listing though, just a few bpos per year. I saw the long list of free agent and noted only 2 were premium members and they were both next to each other, 1 hour away from me.
I look at it this way, they will want me to up again so they better make it worth my while. Compared to USRES, which is much less, but then you are swamped with bpos 'gordito gratus' (translates to 'big free')
Anyone feels fit to convince me otherwise, I am listening.
Thanks!!

MortgageFieldRep.com is another one

A friend of mine joined a simliar network and said he received some calls from a asset manager looking to give him some assignments. He also they provided a list of 200 asset management companies. It sounds like a great site.

But, I'm just curious if anyone have heard anything about them. Good, bad, ugly before I sign up.

About 3 years ago when I first started with the reo network I got an assignment from Land America and then others followed as long as I joined and signed up with their asset management companies ... got a $15K commission assignment just about 1.5 years ago just because I was listed there and had a Premium listing with them at that time. I faild to renew ... and I'm back down on the basic list with every other agent that is registered with them and does any work for CC. So my assignments have slowed down and I am left with only a couple of clients ... I think it's about time to go Premium again

Its a chunk of money....but the closet agent is 25 miles from my zip. There are 4 premium members within 25-30 miles of me, a number that seems low to me. I have a couple years REO experience now and a list (though short) of client-banks I have done work for, so.... I am considering it.....I just need a sign to pull the trigger...

No actual opinion I just do not see where I may ever have a chance to post that again. laugh

I signed up for premium and paid the fees. I recieved a solicitation from Kondaur to do a free BPO. I did not renew my premium membership.

Bump ... Anyone with updated results? Thinking about pulling the trigger today on this... The heavy hitters in my area seem to be constant subscribers for premium ...

I've gotten a couple of emails from investors that supposedly saw my info on REO Network. They are looking for realtors in my area that can email them listings and work with them to purchase REO properties. Has anyone else been contacted? Is this some type of scam going on?

I don't recommend to pay anyone for work...unless you are working with them i.e. OWB asks you sign with RES.NET.
