Hello everyone,
My name is Joseph Jones and I am the Branch Manager with Eagle Nationwide Mortgage Company. I am new to the forum and I really think its a great site. I have been in the industry for 13 years.
I wanted to know how everyone out there is adjusting to the market with the various factors that have come into play. Do you feel all of the changes are for the best? I believe some of them are and some need some tweaking. I am all for protecting the consumer, but so many programs have been entirely eliminated. Disallowing much needed refinancing for some borrowers. Even advertising has taking on a whole new scope.
Many bankers and brokers simply could not hack it once the industry changed and sub-prime went away. Along with conventional lending standards tightening. I would just like to know how well the rest of us are coping to the new enviroment.
Thanks,
Joseph P. Jones

We have been gettin more and more calls from brokers on our program, cause they FINALLY realize how our services helps them.

There's an old saying 'When the well is dry, we know the worth of water'...

My business has picked up but I am in an area where we are the last standing lending institution who can broker loans. Here lately I have found it more rewarding to build relationships with the local banks for turn downs. Sometimes you get loans that are gold to us and bronze to them.

In short I am doing better but not everyone here is. I tend to get more A clients than the rest of the people working here. It all depends on who you build your relationships with and the type of people tailor too. I do take about 5 minutes to give non-qualified applicants direction on getting a loan in the future.
Then it is up to them from there. They usually just call the next lender looking for a hand out.
