Some banks will not accept a verification of rental history.They want 12 months of cancelled rent checks to verify your rent.Your bank should be able to provide 12 months of bank statements.If you get all the rent checks that you have,the lender may be ok with verifying the months you don't have against your bank statements.Also,depending on how many checks you can put together,the lender might be able to give you an exception on the rest of them.Talk to your mortgage broker and let me know what he/she says.
