How do you get into BPO's? My husband is an appraiser & before I became a realtor I use to help him type up the forms & even go with him to the appraisals. What is the difference between the BPO & an appraisal? It seems that the same task is performed. Do the companies give you the software to type up the info? How does it work? Sorry, but I have not heard agents talk about BPO's in my area.

Thanks, I found it. It's the same as an appraisal, I guess you don't measure & do the drawing (or do you?). It's time consuming but like you guys mention in your posts, it's a way to get you REO listing's.

Nope, no measuring or drawing, thank goodness.

It's basically a cheaper, less detailed appraisal.
