The easiest way in my market is to look at the tax system.If the property has a different billing address most of the time it's an investor.If you do a name search for that area of that name they might own multiple properties.This will help gauge how big of an investor you have.

Some of the tax records will show corporations instead of people and will require more research.

Your local real estate investment club is a good place also.
