I just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone here, I just found this website the other day and have found all of you to be very informative.

Now to my question for you all, who are your E&O carriers and are there any carriers in California that will do "per transaction" policies for a small brokerage 2-4 agents. Thanks for the input.

Cres Insurance Services in San Diego will go "per transaction" for small brokerages.

My rep there is Joe Bogle whose e-mail address is jbogle@cresdirect.com Their phone number is 800 880 2747 x 151

You may also ask them to give you a quote for California required Workers compensation insurance for your agents and clerical staff.

Double check the per transaction fee, Versus the Standard or unlimited insurance.

It will depend on your situation, if you close 1 transaction or less per month than the per transaction is the way to go. Low start up fees and 1 transaction min. per month. Monthly ledger to fill out.

If you ever close more than 1 transaction per month than you may find the standard or unlimited plan a better value. The catch is you pay for the year up front.
