ok so heres the whole story before i get hung ....

i have a good friend that is a licensed agent...he lives with me, and worked with me for about a year, i have trained him on bpos and such...so being my best friend...he often takes exterior photos for me pro bono, if they are by his office, on his way etc...

well this one was in a very bad neighborhood...and i guess he couldnt find the house so he circled back and forth 3 times before finally finding it...and when he did...a "big scary man"** ran at his car yelling and screaming, threatening him, along the lines of what the F you doing here, you wanna get shot, where you from!!!!!! kinda stuff...

he just drove off scared and didnt want to go back...

this particular bpo i had about 5 days to complete and lagged...and it was about 20 miles away...

and since i had his verification, i decided to get a little high tech....

pulled up the adress on google maps...and it came out perfect....

my buddy verified that it looked exactly the same as in the pic...

i then screen froze the image, zoomed in for the adress (which was actually clear)

and submitted those photos....

i dont see why it should be an issue since i did verify that the properyt had no newer damage etc...

however in the backwround...you can see the words google very lightly...


i got the idea from a newb a while ago who mentioned this, and everyone slammed him, including myself i believe...lol..

but hey,...i didnt feel like calling in and explaing the situation....so it got me out of the bind...i submitted it a few days ago...and it was approved no problem....

now if only googlemaps would update those photos daily!...of course thats not possible yet....but wouldnt that be nice...

ps...my friend honestly takes approx 5-10 pics a week for me(im so lucky he works 6am-230pm) ...and has a few crazy encounters himself...i think im cursed...lol

I had my sister take pics for me the other day - she lives in a quiet little town about 20 miles south of me so I figured it would be no big deal and save me some time.

Well, right after she took the address shot, a lady came running out of the house screaming at her - she said she took off. Thank goodness she had already gotten the main shots and had enough forsight to take the pics as she was coming out of a dead end and not going in. She called me after she was out of there and she was still freaked out.

Tons of BPO pics here and no one has ever gotten that close to me. Guess she was just lucky

My girlfriend has taken a couple for me. The first one she got screamed at by the owner. She was really freaked and I just laughed.

I actually had a home owner take pics of their own house and email them to me!! LOL

It was a friend of mine who lost the home in foreclosure. I tried to help him with a short sale but, he wouldn't get the docs I needed so I fired him as a client.

Got a call in the office the other day and a lady was really upset. She said that a gentleman was out in front of her house taking pictures. When she came out he took off out of the neighborhood. She said that the name of the company (Coldwell Banker) was on his license plate and that she was going to call every CB office until she finds out who it is. My guess is that there are over 1000 agents and over 30 offices with CB in this area. She was very determined to find out who this was. Oh and by the way she did narrow it down to an African American man.

I did something similar - a resident was outside and there was no way I could zoom in on his address numbers with him standing in the street like he was. So I pulled up an address-titled photo off of the MLS that matched the photo that I managed to take - did the Print Screen/MSPaint thang and used that as my address verification.

Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do.

If address pic in unavaiable, I just submit the online county auditor's map. I've never had a QC question it. They just want proof that you were there and that you inspected the right house.

Avery business cards are fun...and you can be anybody. I have one with a fake insurance company and if questioned I say I'm a field agent updating a policy and then give an address one block over. "Jeez, sur I's gots da wrong address. Shucks."

My county assessors page has nothing but his picture and phone number...my county is about 10 years behind on technology..I still have to go in to get field cards or else they can fax but its now around 11 dollars to have a card faxed, and they say it takes 48hrs to get to me after I submit a "request" form..

he should have returned with the police. these gangland scum think they own the entire trashy neighborhood they live in. they're human cockroaches.

tell your friend to bring a video camera next time, and videotape anyone who approaches and threatens him. he can turn the video over to the police for good evidence of assault, and ID the suspect easily.
