If your looking for a free real estate photo editor, try out Kanubee - http://kanubee.com - it's free, easy to use, and tailored for the real estate community. Would love to hear feedback from anyone who uses it. Any questions email me mhaddad@northreal.com

I've used Faststone for years--it's basic, does what I need, and it's free. You can go to faststone.org or download.com for it. I think they have fancier versions, but I've never needed them.

I have to correct my earlier post about PaintShopPro. I am now using PaintShopPro X (still not the "latest" version but hey.) It is very good and does have some advancements over PSP 9. Unfortunately I did the unthinkable and took the word of some Jasc Zealots who said Corel killed PaintShopPro when they bought it from Jasc...

What Corel did was make it a little better but also a little more complicated - at least as far as v. X goes.

I just downloaded a free trial of PhotoMatrix (for HDR stuff). You can get an unlimited free trial of it (just put up with a watermark until you pay for it). I like unlimited free trials because sometimes 30 days isn't enough for me, esp if I have a stretch of 5 or 6 buys days in a row with work.

I'm really liking PSP X enough that I bought and old PSP X handbook from Amazon.

Odd that it is marketed just for real estate agents. Weird. That said, it is very simple. However, I did not see in your demo a way to sharpen an image, or to straighten an image, or to crop an image. All key essential BASIC tasks.

Picasa, Picnik, and Aviary are all free and are much more robust than this program. Just doesn't do it for me.

Hi Perky_REALTOR, thanks for checking out Kanubee and providing us feed back. The demo video is a bit old and has not kept pace with the updates we have been rolling out, my apologies. Kanubee DOES allow anyone to sharpen and crop an image, however, you currently can't rotate/straighten an image but we are working on adding that feature shortly.

What a lot of our users love Kanubee for is the ability to add your company logo to any image as a water mark, this is found under the "Stamps" options. To get your own logos set up as stamps just register for a free account and reply to the welcome email and attach your logo and I will set an account up for you right away. If you want to read some more this is what another agent wrote about us earlier this year: http://activerain.com/blogsview/2096840/kanubee-brand-your-photos-does-free-tempt-you-

That would certainly make it more attractive, Michael..I thought it was odd to not include those basic tools. smile The logo watermark thing is pretty cool. You better update your intro! smile

Thanks for the advice, I certainly plan on doing that very soon, especially since it is misleading people. Let me know if we are missing any other feature that would help make photo editing easier for you. We have a lot planned for Kanubee's future. If you or anyone else would like me to set up an account for them feel free to email me your logos @ mhaddad@northreal.com

Try ACDSee Pro . It can do the basic photo editing and other things.
