What broker offers the best training for new real estate agents in Las Vegas, NV. Looking for a broker that isn't going to take most of my commission checks.

Check out CENTURY 21 Moneyworld. Mike West, the broker, runs a world-class operation.

If you can find a broker that runs a good offcie and will really teach you how to MAKE MONEY in real estate then don't worry about the commission split. 60% of a few deals a month is a lot more than 95% of nothing.
And when I say training I'm not talking about teaching you junk like holding open houses and taking floor time.
Making money in real estate today is a new world compared to that!

Check out CENTURY 21 Moneyworld. Mike West, the broker, runs a world-class operation. Century 21 makes you sign a one year employment contract. And if you break that contract and want to quit the company because you are not happy there, then you are liable for $2,000.00. You have to give century 21 that amount of money for breaking your employment contract. I'm not interested in century 21.

lvrealtor -- CENTURY 21 doesn't require anything. A particular CENTURY 21 brokerage might.
In the Las Vegas area, there are more than dozen different individually owned & operated individual CENTURY 21 franchises. Each will have its own way of doing things. One may require a one year employment agreement while another might not.
I just know --- as I noted --- that CENTURY 21 Moneyworld is a superb outfit. But, there is also CENTURY 21 Advantage Gold, CENTURY 21 Consolidated, CENTURY 21 Distinctive Properties, etc.

You have to give century 21 that amount of money for breaking your employment contract. I'm not interested in century 21. NOT ALL FRANCHISE OFFICES ARE ALIKE! Sorry to shout, had to. It's NOT like wendy's or Mcdonald's where you go in and it's pretty much the same in every restaurant, with maybe slight variations in the decor. Franchise offices such as C21, Coldwell, and Weichert Realtors are often independently owned and operated and have their own way of doing things! Many Weichert offices charge a desk/technology fee, charge for mentoring, and do not provide "permanent" spaces for their agents. Our Weichert office does NOT charge a desk fee, tech fee, offers FREE training, pays for postage (not for farming, just regular mail in the course of business), gives us free black and white copies and charges only "cost" for color copies (they charge us what the copier company charges them). Our Weichert office has a different commission structure, different policies, different rules than other Weichert offices (of course, within reason; we do all have to march to the beat of Jim Weichert's main drum but each franchise has a LOT of freedom and flexibility in running their own office.) So do not write off an entire brand just because of one brokerage. I wouldn't necessarily work at another Weichert office, though I love mine and have no plans on going ANYWHERE else...if I leave the area, I may re-hook with Weichert, I may not...

I have been a Realtor in Las Vegas for 9 years. C21 teaches you rah rah stuff instead of teaching the basics. They want to teach you how to get excited and get your client excited. They don't seem to train their agents well on contracts. I started with an independent company called Properties Plus and they had an excellent trainer that taught the basics, contracts and the whole ball of wax. I will put my training and knowledge learned from that person against any of the Franchise Company training anytime. That person is now with Elite Realty as a Manager. Go check them out. I heard i=he is now doing their training over there. If you want more info e-mail me and I will give you his name. They are also a 100% office and I think they now also do splits. I worked there but moved my license to another company because they offered something that I couldn't get at Elite.

lvrealtor,
I might be bias but I really like Prudential. I was with Century 21 MoneyWorld when I first started and they are a joke. I have been with Prudential for over 2 years now and I don't think I would be happier anywhere else.
Training is the most important factor when you are brand new. Prudential has great training and continuous classes you can attend anytime. As soon as I started working at Prudential, I felt a difference in the atmosphere here. People are really friendly and always willing to help. Management is great too! We have many new agents and many of the most successful agents in the city.
Just to give you an idea of our success and reputation, we have the largest market share of properties than any other company in the entire Las Vegas valley! We have great marketing tools for our agents and our clients. Of course you would start out with a newer commission split being that you are brand new, but it is so worth it to have this company behind you. I have had so many people tell me that they were calling me to help them buy or sell because they noticed I am with Prudential and that was a name they can trust. No lie.
I am in really good with management at Prudential and I would be happy to set up an appointment for you to interview with the proper person here. Please call me before you do anything and I will give you some more great information about the company. My number is below.

One more thing I forgot to mention... Prudential also gives you many benefits for being with them. All of our offices are upper scale too. Just to name a few small things: Free use of copy machine, fax machine, phones, computers Large conference rooms, also free to use 24 hour access to office with door code Floor time for agents that want it Virtual tours for listings Company magazine distributed all over town LVRJ advertising Mark Stark is our CEO and he is extremely nice and professional to all the agents. We are also one of the largest real estate companies in Las Vegas. Even though we are so large, our company is extremely organized and has seperate departments for everything (accounting, brokerage, corporate, legal, marketing, etc.). Definitely the best choice I ever made.

plus Prudential has that yahoo advantage. Yes, Prudential has a contract with Yahoo. If you go to Yahoo Real Estate and look in Las Vegas, you will see my company all over the place. We have so many things for our company, it is unbelievable. I didn't bother writing everything down, there are so many.

GL Why don't you tell us a little bit about his company. Have you worked with them before? I personally know their company and I would never work for them.

Anybody heard anything about Realty executives in Vegas? Just to let you know, there are only a few agents including myself that are a part of this forum that actually live in Las Vegas. You are asking a board of nationwide agents about specific franchises in Las Vegas. Nobody is going to know these answers other than myself and maybe 1 or 2 others on here. You have already commented in a private message that you think Prudential has the worst reputation in Vegas. That shows how much information you know about my company. It also shows that you are getting this information from a very unreliable source. This is not the only company that I have been with. So if you refuse to believe anything I have to say, go and interview these companies on your own and figure it out.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
