Hello,
I am currently attending the required 45-hour course for NY State Real Estate Salesperson (I am located in Westchester, NY), and will be taking the state exam soon. I am really doing it more for my own knowledge and possibly investing in the future.
As those who are familiar with NY State law know you are required to have a sponsoring broker to actually recieve your license.
I am not looking to make a career out of this but it is something I am going to be exploring part time. I was wondering if anybody has any advice, or if there are any brokers who would be willing to sign off and hold my license even though this is not something I am pursuing full time and may only buy/sell for friends/family or random deals I may come across here and there.
I am a very honest and ethical person and although it is not something I am making a career out of I would like to at least have my license. Obviously because of this I am not expecting much and would be willing to negotiate a generous commission split in the brokers favor.
If anybody has any advice or could help me out please contact me. (I may not be visiting the board much so please contact through email)
Thank you very much,
James
