I'm a big proponent of Sphere of Influence (SOI) business modeling. If I were going to advise a new agent on how to bring in a commission the quickest, I'd tell them to take two friends to lunch every week. NO PROSPECTING to the friends allowed, just getting your smiling face out there and reminding the people you know how darn cool you are. Oh, and you happen to sell real estate for a living.
But first, I would advise my new agent to really know his stuff. Know his market... his systems... his contracts. If you don't know what you're doing, I'd hate to see you blow it with your SOI before you even get rolling.
