Hey all I just registered to take the exam April 1st, which is next Tuesday. I purchased a manual with a good amount of tests and all I have been doing is taking test after test over the past couple of days. For the most part I'm doing fine (took a full test yesterday and got a 81...woulda been higher if it was not for the math!!).
What I'd like to do over the next couple of days is do more questions and then brush up in the areas where I'm a little dusty at. I wanna knock this thing out my first attempt, so having the option to take it a second time is not an option for me. Any other tips yall can offer for preparing for the test? Thanks in advance!!

Your first answer is usually the right answer. Be very cautious if you decide to change an answer. You'll be amazed at all the dumb questions you'll be ask that has absolutely nothing to do with real world real estate.

Don't answer if you don't know go to the next question.Example there are 4 choices and you have it narrowed to 2 move on to the next question and later on by answering other questions you will reduce the 2 choices down to one and get it correct. I probably did this at least five times on my test. The answer to one question was given in the syntax of another question somewhere else.

Make flash cards for the keywords and concepts and know them front and back. Write them down by hand and will remember them better.

Your taking your test on April Fool's Day! Are you crazy?!? Just kidding. At what testing center are you taking the exam? The Georgia test does allow you to skip a question and when you are done it will take you back to any that you didn't answer. As mentioned earlier, you will find the answers to a few questions in some other questions.
I took the Georgia test last November and it was not as scary as I was lead to believe. There are not many math questions. You can actually miss all the math questions and still pass, but work them anyway. You have plenty of time and some are very simple. I also took the two day cram course which really made the test easy. It sounds like you are ready. Best of luck!

LOL yeah I like to punish myself by scheduling important things on the wrong days....April Fools, Friday the 13th, etc!!
I'm gonna be taking it at the testing center in Marietta/Roswell...up 75. Plan on leaving my home an hour and a half before the test even though I only live 20 minutes away...never know how Atlanta traffic is gonna be!
So I have heard that the test isn't too bad, but I'm not gonna go into the test with that mentality. I just need to brush up on my math and keep the questions going. Thanks again everyone for the encouragement and I'll keep yall updated!!

I too did not feel it was all that difficult of a test. But I like to think I knew more than I thought I did.
I took mine in Savannah, as we are in Valdosta and have family in Savannah so made a long weekend of it. The closest place was Macon, which is still 2 hours away from here.
Good luck to you!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
