Yes, I have been trying for 2 months to sit for the exam and one thing or another would come up and I would have to put it off. I finally took the exam this morning and passed! I am so psyched that I passed it the first time around! It was not as hard as I anticipated it to be, but still somewhat difficult.

I keep hearing that most of the stuff you learn you will never use again. But I am so looking forward to "getting my feet wet!"

JanMarie, Congrats! Have you given any thought to where you'll place your license?

I have not yet. I wanted to make sure I passed before I talked to anyone. Will start calling tomorrow and see if I can get in to talk to anyone. We have Prudential, CB, GMAC, Century 21 and Remax all here in the area and a BUNCH of locals. I suspect I will be calling most of them.

Keeshonder, Good luck! It really was not as difficult as I anticipated it to be. Or maybe I just knew more than I thought I did. LOL
Where will you be taking it at? I went to Savannah, about three hours from where I live.

We are in Valdosta. We did the same, we have family in Savannah so we made a long weekend out of it.

I keep hearing that most of the stuff you learn you will never use again. But I am so looking forward to "getting my feet wet!" Yes, most of the stuff you learn in order to get your license you will not use again, with the exception of knowing the law part. A lot of the vocabulary and other things they require you to know are not really necessary in the day to day life of a realtor. The stuff you really need to know - like determining architectural styles, how to work with people, how to manage your time, budgets, etc...all that you have to figure out on your own. lol

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
