That's okay, I only like my mom's (rest her soul) pies...since she's been gone almost 7 years now, I've lost all interest in pie.
Perky, don't be down on the pie now. My Momma bakes a fine pie. Comes straight ftom the freezer into the oven and done in 50 minutes. Its a Mountain Top pie, I can generally buy one for less than 4 dollars. Tastes just like Grandma used to make, well actually it is the same brand that she buys as well.
So depressed, and Perky, and even you Auburn, try a Mountain Top Pie from the freezer section. They are good. Check the Sunday paper, there may be a coupon as well. Hit the store during triple couple day and it's almost free! Now where else can you get an almost free pie? If you don't love free, you don't need pie.
Just a word of warning though. As my Dad told his 2nd and third wife, a slice of pie plays hell on your thighs! You might want to skip your slice and give it to your husband.
