LeanneC and LaceyF...I am totally and truly shocked that I'm not alone. My 4 year old has both thrown up while taking pictures after school and is forced to hold off playing on noggin.com while mama checks BPO sites. Granted he hasn't called me a spy yet.

I am LMAO; I swear my kids hate to hear BPO. And God forbid if I have one to go do before or after I pick them up from school.
My oldest is my look-out. "Tell mom if anyone is watching us or walking to the car."
I make DH go with me all the time on the weekends, I will map out or routes around any pics I need to go get. I also make him go with me everytime to a CFK or to check vacant interiors. He is my unoffical body gaurd!

#18 - when you phone goes off to indicate your have mail and your 5 year old says "Mom, you have a BPO to do", now if I could just train her to check sites for me on her computer while I do input and upload pics on mine.

I don't take her with me much any more, because all I hear from her is "are we going to get home in time for me to play with my friends when they get out of school?" (She's in kindergarten and gets out early.) But she's a good sport about it and especially likes to go to vacant interior order I get).

My 14 year old boy will take the pictures. When I first started doing it, I figured we could always say it was a school project if someone approached me.

My son also uploads pictures for me sometimes.

Isn't it good clean, family fun? The kids associate BPOs with money!!

When you start estimating what the copper pipes in your house must be worth since the last interior you did had none!!!

When your 12 year old tries charging you for every BPO she gets when clicking for you.

When your child can more efficiently plan your day's route to not only get in all your BPO inspections, but to also get your weekly REO inspections done AND have time to stop at Hobby Lobby on the way home, than you can.

When your child, when driving down the road NOT doing BPOs announces a)that you are in a non-conforming neighborhood, b)that the cost of repairs on that bungalow will exceed the potential ROI, and that c)"You might as well take a picture of that one, Mom- I am sure it is going to be foreclosed on soon and you'll save a trip when they request a BPO." The kicker is- she was right, on all counts!

Oh my goodness! These are so funny and SO TRUE!! My son also hates hearing the word BPO! When I pick him up from school the first thing he says is..Mom do we have any BPO's to do...UGH!We had to buy him a computer of his own for his birthday since his play time online was being cut short when an email would come across the screen for a BPO. He can spot an REO a mile away and lets me know where all the REO's are at.He helps alot when out doing the order though...

** You are out doing a BPO in a rural area and the mailboxes are all rusted and you cannot read the addresses..I don't know which house it could be so I drive back down the road...your 8 year old looks over at you and says mom..just take a pic of all the houses and look at the tax info then you can figure it out..but for now we can GO HOME** (it was out last one for the day)so that is what I did and of course figured it out later..I always tell him he is an REO'BPO agent in training..LOL

For all you Moms out there, I just learned today McDonals Playland has wi-fi. That's my 4 years old reward for not whinning the whole time we are picture taking, know its a win for him and me!

He also thinks the computer is an ATM. I told him he had to wait for his birthday next week for some toy he asked for because I didn't have any money. His reply was just go to the computer and make some. Ha Ha. Don't you wish it were that easy?

LOL! I was asking my son to hand me his homework the other day so I could check it and I accidently asked him where his comps were.

When you no longer need a map to go into the worst neighborhoods in your home town cause you already know the streets and block numbers.

When your 2 year old asks if we're going to go to work taking pictures. She likes to go because I got a dvd player for the car and she watches Dora. Maybe someday she'll be as big of a helper as all your kiddos!

When your husband knows how busy you've been by how messy the house is. Or on the other hand, how slow you've been by how clean it is.

I think the guy who invented car DVD's must have had a ton of BPO's to get done with kids.

My kids are about to stage a mutiny because they are never allowed to use the computer any more- my oldest is 6 so I guess it's time to break down and get another one for the house before they tie me up in a closet....

When you look forward to the time change, not so much for spring but for the extra hour of daylight to take photos!

LOL! That one is so true! I was just thinking that the other day. I really need that extra hour sometimes especially for the rush jobs that come from companies on the west coast. They love to send orders at 6:00 (my time) due the next morning.

Ok so no one else will have this one but....you know you are busy with BPO's when you tell your retail customers that they will have to wait a minuite to check out becuase you are checking for more orders. I own a children's resale store that I work at 4 hours a day. I always get busy when everyone says "so and so company is dropping orders" Hope I didn't miss to many

When your 2nd grader knows what a bpo is and races to the computer to catch a broadcast for her mom

I used to feel guilty about my secret Mcdonalds playtime because I discovered the wifi a while back. My 3 yr old knows that after a few pictures we get to go play at McD's for a little while. LOL She has her own camera and "laptop" that she brings with her. She loves taking pictures of houses. When my older girls don't have school they ask where we get to go take pictures at today. They are old enough to man the camera. I have one that looks for repair items while the other takes the pictures. Instead of Mcdonalds for them we go get manicures and pedicures once a month for girls day out.

Good to know that lenders decisions are based on repairs as determined by a child. Oh WTH, she probably does a better job than some agents...Carry on.

My one daughter can spot repair items better than I can. Of course, I am also having to drive and watch the road and for any nut-cases who decide to try to chase me down. I usually snap my pics and review them later for repairs I didn't catch while at the property...
