I finished about 20 orders for a certain someone. I get 7 HELP x3 emails this morning. 4 are because the square footage they have doesnt match mine. This would be fine if I screwed up but they do this everytime I submit an order. They include basement finished square footage and I dont and I comment about it. So I email back and point out why and they are fine with it but couldnt they just figure it out by now or at least read my comments? Then 2 other orders say my comps dont support the value given and need to be replaced. Im confused and look back to see the comps bracket the subject in every concievable way including price. I politely respond "youre dumb" then lastly they dont like that i expanded my search out 2 miles. Well if you read my comments before freaking out (seems to be a trend here) then you would see that it is a rural area with literally 15 houses within 1 mile. And not all of them are comparable so either I expand the search or you are gonna be comparing a barn to a mansion. I just want a little common sense. Thats all. I HOPE and believe Barack Obama can CHANGE the bpo world. I believe.

And I so agree with ya, Buster! I think the reason we get the HELP3 is not so much that they don't read our comments but that they CANNOT read our comments. Yeah, I know that the QC folks probably don't come from India, but they don't seem to BE ABLE TO READ any better than the solicitors from India SPEAK.

As for changing the BPO world, I think George tried to increase literacy rates - you remember....No Indian BPO Processor left behind....

SLO, I agree with you on Ron Paul. We don't need the government running every detail of our lives. We need to be allowed to run our own lives, discipline our kids, and take care of ourselves. Too many wait on the government to take care of them, and I personally sell a bunch of houses that used to belong to people who relied on Big Brother too much and forgot to accept personal responsibility...
And Buster, no, I don't think they read. I am in a rural area, too, and get HELP HELP HELPs all the time due to proximity and differences (that is why we adjust and why I comment about "no closer comps", etc, and "adjustments made..." And it isn't just the one company or the indian language barrier at fault- I get the same issues with several of our American, English-speaking companies, as well. Why ask me to do a complete report if you aren't going to read the most important parts of it???

Trying to steer the discussion back to the original OP. I just received a phone call from LA on a report that I did weeks ago. Their client was not thrilled that, as the report requested, I gave the range of values in a particular area (low to high). The lowest is something like $149,000 to $2,300,000. They (LA) wanted me to readdress the range. I told them that I wasn't going to. That's the range and I have no way of cherry-picking. I also said that in my comments. I also provided the avg. and avg. DOM for both active and sold (as well as the range for solds). Please give me a break. They said they'd reassign. Let them. I thought I had fired them. Apparently not.

My other favorite from yesterday was from IAS. Subject was 40 acs. -- in the middle of an established subdivision! I have few parcels to choose from and I let them know that *BEFORE* I started the BPO. I was told to do my best, which I did. Yesterday's kick-back was why were was there a variance on GLA of 20%. Gee, I don't know. Subject is larger than most other properties to start with? I forwarded the e-mail exchange back to them. Please give me a break.

Finally, PCV. They wanted me to physically measure a property. I dunno, isn't that what an appraiser does???? In California, that's a licensing violation (exceeding the scope of your license, such as measuring, if you have no prior experience).

To put it in perspective. The Dems would see it my way, the Republicans would see it the Company way and Ron Paul would tell me to go sit and spin. How did politics get involved in this thread anyway?

What I NEED is the government to get the h*ell out of my wallet, my house, my mailbox, my phone line, and my kids school. Whoever the candidate is promising to do THAT gets my vote.

It's called a "unique property," but they never think that is possible. I had a 6000 sf 17 year old house recently, an REO, that had NO COMPS--and I mean NO COMPS! Absolutely all of the other structures were much newer, much more expensive, and in better condition OR multi-story, sometimes multi-family, much older structures.

The second opinion BPO agent and the appraiser both phoned me in desperation, because they couldn't get past the QC. Finally, someone believed us when we said "unique."

Right or wrong I beleive the Democrats are destined for the office.Perceived reality is what matters,to rich people life is good but to the shrinking middle class and the poor life has been hell during the Republican adminstration so perception is 8 years no results let the other party try and do something.
