Does anybody know whether your PageRanking goes up by having extra domains (with relevant domainnames) having domain-forwarding pointing to your main domain ?
Thanks in advance,

The only way that I know of that it can affect your ranking is to make it go down...

If done right (permanent 301 redirect) at best it will have no affect.

Forwarding domains will not cause the PageRank of the target site to improve and unless done with a 301 as Perky says - will have a negative effect on your ranking.

I have very little experience with this, so what you are saying is that you want to consolidate everything into one domain, even if you have to have redirects because otherwise having multiple ones will have a bad effect on your page rankings?

Yes, you do not want your content to be duplicated on any other domains.

If you want another of your domains to be ranking in search engines - you need to develop unique content in it and not have it be seen as a duplicate of your primary site.

Another option you could have when it comes to unique content is just spinning some of the content you have to make it unique. While getting completely unique content is obviously more preferred, this is an option you can also look into.

Hi,

Yes, if you do it with permanent 301 redirection - this will not let your website penalized by Google due to duplicate content.

To know more about 301 redirection, refer to this link:
