Is this organization worth while. I understand the need for some form of certification past a real estate license. I have seen too many certifyers that were more concerned with the enrollment process than the quality of the certification.
Is there a certification that means anything other than CREO which is way too expensive and stringent on none knowledge or capability issues.
I have always relied on education and experience and assume that the BPO/REO companies do also.
Thanks

I don't think the companies care one way or the other about these certifications. Unless of course the company has their own that they can get you to spend a few bucks on.

Do something more worthwhile, like working towards your brokers license or an NAR recognized designation. Good luck!

You want a certification? Send me $200, I'll send you one.

Kind of like being a mail order minister or buying a Doctorate from a diploma mill.

It's just a piece of paper.

Clients was results, expertise and did I say results?

What I really wanted to know was there any designation that had value past the fees charged to get it.

No certification although people do offer them for sale. The best way is to establish a reputation for reliable, accurate and timely results.

A good question to ask yourselves, or even the founder of NABPOP is this: Does NAR, The 5 Star, or REOMAC recognize NABPOP as a legitimate certification?

Answer: Not in this life time.

NABPOP is a scam. I will not acknowledge them, nor should any other competent agent. I will stick with my companies that do not support such b.s. I am certified to do bpo's based on my experience. Who does this "organization" think it is?? SCAM, money making SCAM. Just another group with their hands in everyone's pocket.

Well, I don't think NABPOP is a scam, although I'm doubtful if their certification means much. I have visited their website and I see they actively defend realtors' rights to perform BPOs, and lobby on our behalf for the right to continue doing this. For this reason, if for no other, I will likely sign up with them in the near future.

In this regard, they have done more than NAR will ever do. I'd rather pay my association dues to NABPOP than an outdated union.

NAR already has you/us in their back pocket and there isn't really much you can do about it and continue to play the game.

NAR also has a section for appraisers - not as demanding or as many Realtor agents - but still money in the bank.

Now NAR stands to gain nothing by standing up for the few Realtors and their rights as opposed to what they would lose by the appraisers pulling out if they would.

If you got a plan to motivate NAR on this topic - please share.

I was wondering if anyone has gotten a job from the "BPO Orders Available Bulletin Board"? I was reading up on their site and saw this was available once you are a member.
