I'm a new agent. I started getting confident after offering FSBO's a discount flat fee service for $299.

I think i'm ready to start really selling myself. I will start to go in at 6% and negotiate from there instead of this limited service stuff.

Anyways. What I am in the process of doing is this: I bought one of those science fair boards. You know the ones i'm talking about. And I am making my presention on that. I have EVERYTHING i need on it. No need to forget something, or to stumble on my words. It's all written right in front of me.

What i'm going to do is just go down the list. I will read one statement, then explain how i'm going to do it. It's all on the board.

When I have a presentation, I will set it on their kitchen table and have the pre-filled out contracts in front of it, along with some other paperwork.

I will also be video taping my presentation for those people who can't find the time for me. Mailing out a DVD is less expensive than mailing out a binder.

The presenation board will be professional looking when done. I almost have my prototype done. Yay!

What do you all think so far? Is this a good idea for a presentation?

The best idea is the one that works.

For some that will be a laptop with powerpoint, for others it will be a 3 ring binder..

You need something that you're comfortable with and that you can present fluidly while keeping track of your listener's attention span.

I would imagine a $299 listing is a pretty easy sell. That's a race to the bottom, right there, and you won! Woohoo! :-)

You'll find it a different game out there hustling on even footing with the other 5-6% listers. However, you are doing the right things and I'm sure you'll get your share of listings!

Let us know how it works!

Mark, I think it's a great idea. When you have your prototype made, can you take some photos and post them up? I would be very interested to see your presentation.

Your presentation description makes me think of the door to door salesaman presentation. Especially the science board presentation. I don't like it. I think it's its kind of tacky.

Thats not to say I'm right though. I hope to here back from you on your efforts, im just one Realtors opinion. It seems very cheap and basic compared to a standard presentation. It may work.
