I have a problem. My broker has a very unique home that would be perfect for an assisted living facility or a foster care home. Its a 5000 square foot single story with 7 bedrooms and a seperate guest house, alarm, sprinkler system, etc.

Its been sitting on the market waiting for the perfect buyer but nobody even looks at it and I don't know how to market it. There is a similar property listed on propertyline under "business opportunities" but that one is already licensed as a group home.

Anybody have any ideas?

Check with the city and/or county ordinances regarding a conditional use permit or variance, get all your facts together for what they would require and if it is even feasible.. Check with your MLS to see if you can cross-list it under business/commercial also. Check out Loopnet. net and other commercial sites to see if you can post it there. Advertise it as a possibility for a business as assisted living or a group home. The more options you can offer, the more likely you may be able to find a buyer for it. Good Luck!

Check with the healthcare or nursing home association in your state. Georgia offers down payment assistance to healthcare employees and I've been thinking of attending one of their trade shows.
