neudot Major Contributor Registered: 11/02/07 Posts: 1753 Loc: Central New York	I am totally confused by this question. Why would you think you need to pay workmen's comp? Isn't everyone involved in the procedure an independent contractor? Maybe things are different in California than where I am. Independent contractors get no workmen's comp in New York.

Mr. Foreclosure Major Contributor Registered: 09/01/06 Posts: 2834 Loc: upstate New York	I have no employees or independent contractors; hence no workman's compensation to consider. As far as referrals go, the company that you refer to is responsible for their own insurance needs.

Area Pro Realty Member Registered: 05/24/06 Posts: 284 Loc: California	workers comp is required for brokers in california, the department of labor states since agents MUST hang their license with a broker the broker is required to provide them with workers comp.
