I am about to order study materials to help get my California real estate salesperson license and I am looking for some advice.

There are 2 mandatory courses
-California real estate principles
-California real estate practice

and I can choose 1 of 2 elective courses
-real estate finance
-real estate escrow

My question is which course do you think would be more relevant to a new agents career?

I would think both are beneficial, being that as newbies we owe it to ourselves to fill our heads with as much knowledge for the sake of our careers and competency to clients/customers....but on he basis of choosing just one for now, escrow

Other people have told me escrow as well. I guess because its a lot simpler to learn at first, and finance is much more involved.

Start with escrow then study finance next just to learn the financing part of real estate

I would choose escrow because there is a lot of potential for lawsuits etc. with escrow money. The real estate commission is very serious about escrow $.
