Makes me wonder how tech savvy they are in other realms of business, and what kind of communication I can expect with them if we strike a deal.
You're of course free to make those kinds of assumptions, but frankly, I think agents are way too obsessed with image - agents think people won't trust their skills if they drive the wrong car, wear the wrong clothes, etc.
You know what? I really don't care. I don't care what other agents think. If they want to restrict themselves fine...if they want to jump through hoops to satisfy the ridiculous expectations of other agents fine.
If your buyer said they wanted to buy my listing, would you say "No, I'm sorry, I wouldn't suggest it because they have a free email address and they're probably unprofessional. Let's look at another house instead."How RIDICULOUS does that sound when you put it that way?
I get a respectable amount of customer contact with my gmail address - all I have to worry about is pleasing THEM with my service. As my website gains ranking and more traffic, I expect a lot more of the same.
I couldn't care less if other agents wonder how "professional" I am based on whether I use gmail or me@wallenpaupacklakeproperty.com Can't help it that my market area has a long difficult name to pronounce and spell. Makes more sense to have an easy address for people to spell and remember.
