Has efax changed? I used to use them, but didn't like the silly program you had to download before you could look at the faxes. Maybe they don't have that anymore. I use myfax. I like that everything comes on a PDF so I just save that in my transaction file for that particular transaction.

packetel.com seems like a good service. You can receive unlimited amount faxes to your e-mail address. You can also have your phone company forward your existing fax number to your new fax/e-mail account. I just signed up. WOuld have given Guzzie credit but he never replied to me. Well check it out at http://www.packetel.com If you like what they offer please sign up and use my promo code: mnvxt30798

If I refer a friend to signup, me and the person who signed up will get one month's worth of free credit after he or she signs up*.
There is NO LIMIT on how much free credit you can get

I have packetel for incoming fax too. ptsub003 is my promo code. Hey, please spread the referral wealth if you sign up with them. Sorry DelCids. I have been a packetel user for at least 18 months and maybe longer. It's as reliable as a traditional fax set up in my opinion, and more secure too since the whole office isn't liable to read the stuff that gets sent to you.

By the way, Adobe Acrobat professional is must-have software for any real estate professional. Get it and a el-cheapo scanner with a great document feeder and you're waaaayyyy ahead of your competition when it comes to efficiency.

As for fax in general, most people use e-mail anyway. Fax is a thing of the past, or will be soon.

Just wondering if any who use the incoming email fax have problems with large attachments coming through? Our purchase agreements can be as many as 30 pages.

Also, is readability ok?

Jim, DocuHarbor is a dream. It's always clearly legible.

Regarding large incoming docs, we just have to make sure we keep our storage capacity and number of fax pages available updated (paid for), which I check several times a week because I'm in it every day.

With a quick glance if I see either my available pages or storage capacity getting low I go into billing and bump it up and it's often only about $2.00 at the most each time.

We always go over the "free" amount we're allotted with the basic monthly fee but it's worth it to spend a little extra each month for the freedom and organization that it gives us.

DocuHarbor is a paperless office set-up and our associate agent can access his files/docs in the system from home as well and we can work from any remote location, anywhere. [I would not let an office full of folks use it together, but three of us is manageable and very convenient]

I hope this is useful!

I never had any problems with volume with my Efax Plus. I just wish more agents out here would use email. They are SO behind the times. I hate faxing things. Email is so much faster, and you don't lose any quality at all.

Yeah with packetel.com you can receive unlimited pages and the quality is good. I also hate receiving faxes and wish more agents could learn to convert their paper to pdf format and send via e-mail. Quality is so much better. Sometimes I have received a fax back from a buyers agent. And after having his client fax it back to him with signatures and faxing it back to me. Well, the quality is not that good by then.

Again, I’ve researched them all and there is no better solution that Kall8, UReach or even CallWave. Email to fax for those technically challenged.

Each of the other services only allows you to use certain features of the line they assign to you. Kall8, and Ureach let you use the entire feature set.

For example, in UReach, it’s one communication suite. You can view all your email accounts and other Outlook style features online, in addition to the incoming faxes. No page or size limits and you can store about 9 months (about 6000 messages), more if you wanna pay a few more bucks.

I like Ureach as a dedicated fax line, because in addition to the email, and phone call notification (you can even have it “chase” you from several contact numbers), you can also get phone call notification of EMAILS from whatever domain you tell it to (or multiple domain names). No matter if a client emails me or faxes while I’m in the field – I receive an instant phone call telling me about it.

The suite also acts as a great backup, even if your regular ISP or mobile mail provider is down. Just have your email forwarded to ureach, and it’s a done deal. And the site has never been down, not once, not a single hiccup in the past 7-8 years or so.

Customer service with a live person too – not the “the service is so cheap we do not offer live customer service support, please refer to the FAQ” message.

So when you subscribe to one of those other services – you really are limited in features. Kinda like signing up for a phone line – which only allows pager use (remember those things?), lol

-------------------

Another great tool – ReadNotify / Self-Destruct email. Never hear the lame “I didn’t get your email” excuse again. The service silently and invisibly tracks your email; reverses it to an IP address; and even tracks when/where PDF attachments are opened. And yes, you can send emails that self-destruct after being read. It’s $4 month.

Lotsa cool things out there in cyberland \:\)

I hate pulling up an old thread....but, I just bought a new computer with Vista 64bit and my previous internet fax service (Accessline) wasn't compatible with Vista. So I'm searching for a new service and wanted to know if there was any new service and if not if anyone had any existing service that they would reccommend and I'd be willing to sign up and hopefully give someone a refferral bonus.
