hi all,

can anyone recommend agencies/brokers that specialize in doing mostly commercial than residential...anybody interview with them...tips/suggestions are welcome

Well I focus mainly on commercial however at this time I am not accepting agents.Some of the big dogs are CB richard ellis,ellis and grubbs,cushman and wakefield,marcus and millchap,ag armstrong,nai brennan goddard,the shopping center group etc.

There are many avenues to pursue in commercial and many big players as well as small firms.I couldn't list all that you could do in commercial it would take books to explain all fo the different niches.It takes very specialized training and you have to decide what you specialize in.

Inustrial,retail,land,office,leasing,development,apartments,hotel,restaurants,business brokerage to name just a tiny few.

Agreed. It is like many fields that have become so specialized now. Different types of commercial real estate require different expertise. Look for the brokers who specalize in your interested properties. As with almost any industry, good referral is the best way to go.

could you do both?

Maybe if youre single with no kids.

Even then you could spend a lifetime learning the ins and outs of the commercial worlds, universes, etc.

I am interested in getting into the commercial end down the road....all you need is the basic real estate license right?

but like you said you need special knowledge because it is very different...more so about crunching numbers...not too emotional purely about profit...
