Why do we need a forum about Google issues here?

We used to have forums about the various search engines years ago but at that time we were ahead of the curve - Realtors were not really interested in webmaster issues years ago so we took them down.

Other forums have sprung up in the meantime and they do have active forums that discuss search engines and I always thought that was terrific - "Realtors have places to go to talk search engines so we do not really have to set up search engine forums here."

Every once in a while I peruse the other forums and find that often blatant fantasy is presented as fact and is unchallenged - fantasy can become "fact" if repeated enough times. In fact, not only is the fantasy unchallenged but readers gush over the pontificating visionary!

It has become increasingly apparent that there really is a need for search engine forums where those involved in the real estate industry can rely on getting the straight goods - fantasy will not go unchallenged here

It's all because of Internet marketing.

Over 60% of our traffic comes from Google - so it is key for our business. Understanding Caffeine and whatever flavour of the month Google comes up with, we believe it is worth investing time in understanding the beast.

Having a google thread i very beneficial to any forums just because we all know that do follow forums attract google bots so that we can get our website crawled and indexed.

Another benefit we can get on a google forums is that we can share ideas and experiences to other real estate webmasters.

They are the most important one!

Bing is becoming important too.

I think Bing is important as well, but I know for me 90% + of my traffic is from Google. Also If I hit page 1 of Google with a new search term all the rest follow, actually I am usally on page 1 of bing way before Google.

Google is ahead of everyone else all the time. Majority of potential clients don't ever bother to use anything else that Google. Its that simple.
