There is NO Average - it's like asking what do cars cost on average. It depends on too many factors to get anything of meaning asking for the average. Some agents supervise others, some don't some do BPOs/CMA's some dont' some do $2m a year in sales, some do $50K, some have a $1000 deductible, others have a $5000 deductible, some have $100K coverage, some have $1 Million.

You are offering some good insight on E&O. Volumes, service lines, and prior acts certainly affect premiums.

I have found that property management and selling for a developer will cause huge increases in premium. A solo practitioner not engaged in these should have a $350-$1000 premium on a $1MM policy with a $5-$10K deductible. YMMV though.

Some brokers refuse to carry it. Some MLS's require it. I think the decision on what to carry is influenced to some degree by outside requirements and then by personal preference.
