How long does it normally take you to input an exterior and interior bpo? Please also note what has made you more efficient i.e. dual computers or monitors, printouts, etc..

My average seems to be.

exterior: 1.5 hours
interior: 2 hours

Are you talking about the actual data entry or everything including pulling comps, checking distances, etc.?

I can do exteriors in 10-20 minutes depending on the form and interiors are 15-30 minutes depending on the form and the amount of repairs needed.

20-40 minutes per order. Sunset - focus your energies more and it will go much faster. Cut out distractions while you are doing an order...

Do you print out your comps/actives or do you bring it all up one your monitor?

For now, I just toggle screens. I have set my MLS results page up to give me just about every field. Then for comments I open the records individually. Working on setting up multiple screens. Rarely do I print. If I do it is only the results page.

I used to toggle screens but now I have both screens up at the same time. One on top of the other. It takes me about < 20 minutes for an exterior. Comps are about 15 minutes each unless I get something that is hard to comp like a new home in the midst of 50 year old homes. There are companies will super easy forms. I like CW in particular. I can do 5 of those in an hour.

I was wondering if people are doing all the comps then inputting. Or after you pull comps for an order you input the data right after. Just curious.

I search for comps and such as I'm entering data. I never print out a thing. For some forms 15 minutes. For others 45 minutes. Also depends on how hard it is to find comps. I think another monitor would speed me up. I'm pretty sure toggling takes up quite a bit of time. It doesn't seem like much, but I think it is more then I realize. I've also found as you get practice and become familiar with forms it goes faster. Also you will learn hopefully the most efficient way to search for comps. I used to take awhile with Farvv forms, but if I don't have to keep resaving due to lost data they seem to go faster now.

After pics and comps....20 minutes ext, 40 min int. But now that I've gotten a tad rusty it may take a little longer.

I'm at about:
30 minutes for exteriors
45 minutes to an hour for interiors

I just got another computer screen, and I am just figuring out that it is MUCH faster with both of them up and running!

I'm a big fan of the tab key if that helps you at all. Plus when you're doing most of your BPOs for one company you usually get a really similar form so you can anticipate and plan your comp input around it. My broker calls me Magic Fingers.

i use to print all comps....wow what a waste of time...

now i print every title page right when i accept the order...its kinda like my reciept...

i write the compensation, company and due date....it keeps me organized...

i average 45 min a bpo...(i actually log the time on each bpo also....so im quite sure on my time....40-45 for easy ones, 1 hr for tricky ones.....1 hr for those companies that have pain the butt forms....this includes pulling comps and entering all information

Dang I'm slow. It takes me over an hour to do an exterior. I did 5 of 'em one day and I mean ONE DAY. It took me 7 hours to do 5 BPOs with pictures. I print comps and subject stats and actually read some of it.
