Ugh, I just rebuked (not really) an investor client for checking some values on zillow, and ran my own comps for him. Then I decided to check to see what information he was getting from zillow... Pretty close!
$215,000... Z$232,000
$265,000... Z$260,000
$275,000... Z$299,000
$155-$165...Z$155,000
$510,000... Z$528,000
$265-$275...Z$272,000
So I ran some others whose value I am pretty confident about, and zillow was within $5K of those too!! I do have and under$300K home under contract at $10K above what I consider to be market value, and zillow rated it at $10K below my number.
