If so how? I know content and links, but is there anything else I can do to make them more friendly?

Good question. I have a p2 site and I'm getting tired of the look and size. The more I read the more I like CSS sites but content is still the king. What do you use now captain?

Yes they are. I have a Point2 and if you do a search on Yahoo, MSN and even Google for "homes for sale in jacksonville" home for sale jacksonville fl," "home in jacksonville" etc. my site (jacksonvillehomeinfo.net) ranks very well. I average about 100 unique visitors a day.

Change your titles, your descriptions and key words for each page; get some original content (this is key); set up a manual linking system; and submit your web site to as many directories as possible.

Then wait. And hope.

Some of the more common aspects can be manipulated on P2A and other template sites but some not. Most have limitations in this respect. For example ... P2, AA and most others use a common database for pulling out all the different sites listings and common pages.. not ideal and no control or ability to create custom url's for each page ...

here are actual examples of p2a & Advanced Access sites...
http://www.P2Asites.com/Listings/page_1623545.html http://www.P2Asites.com/Sell_Your_Home/page_1767422.html

http://www.AAsites.com/PageManager/Default.aspx/PageID=1872341&NF=1

not having actual dns hosting accounts for each site, and other things make them not "ideal" for SEO but you can make an elephant fly if you tie enough balloons to it \:D

I have always admired your satirical wit Rich I tried to log into BAP today but had no luck. Very witty and funny FAQ. Maybe I can't get in because I have one of those clunky heavy web sites with all the balloons tied to it.

Hi Salty \:\) ... Thanks for the kind words.

Did you create a free Gold account? We've built in something special for those of you with existing sites that's pretty awesome. If you want to kick the tires please feel free to do so... We haven't announced anything about this publicly but all free Gold accounts are currently getting a 7 day trial to most of the Platinum features so you look under the hood and see what will soon be big news ... shhhhh ... it's top secret so don't tell anyone...LOL ... Our official public launch is not slated for a couple more months

I'm not sure how long we'll be doing the platinum trials but we're also doing daily Live Webinars for Gold & Platinum users that are open to the public .. If they find out about them that is ...:D .. You can see the dates and topics here: Live BAP Events ... If you can't login to the events the first time you try don't get mad but they have been filling up everyday... As users leave, new spots open and we've been running well past the scheduled end times so keep trying.

At least you'll know what Brian and I have been doing if nothing else ;\)

I have to admit a CSS tableless site is like going from a C130 herc to a f-18 hornet. She is slick, fast and light wieght. Just kicking the tires today but it is very cool.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
