I use two 19 inch wide screen LCDs... I love it, it is so easy to use... I also love my wireless keyboard and mouse (no cords to have to tug on or get in the way)...

I've been reading this site for about six months now, and have found it to be an awesome info source! I finally took the time today to register and this is my first post - showing off my dual screens! \:\) \:\)

Cool Guy- Yes. Two monitors is is MUST in my book. I don't think I could use three as someone stated in the thread but it is great to have to mls up and the bpo form each on its own screen.

I use two computers. Why you may ask, cause if one doesn't work or is giving me a problem with downloads I can switch to the other. I do have two screens, but one keyboard and mouse with a toggle switch to switch between the computers.

So how do you get 2 monitors to work on one computer? How do you control what pops up on each? I am trying to go paperless & this is going to be the only way I can do it. I currently print everything out & am sick of having so much paper around that I have to store I would rather store a CD for each month vs. all the paper. TIA!!

I guess I am just an old broker. I use one computer and just print the sheets out on each comparable and manually input the data. Maybe that's why doing 5 BPO's in one day is a bunch of work for me.

If you are running XP or Vista (not sure about older OS's) just plug the monitor in and you will get a pop-up to set up all of the choices you mentioned. If no pop up, go to the display settings in the control panel.

As far as what is on which monitor, you drag minimized windows to the 2nd screen and then expand them and they will fill the screen. Your mouse pointer will jump the gap between screens and work on both as if it is one large screen.

BTW, I always felt like I had to print comps. Once I went to 2 screens it was EASY to go paperless. I have also decreased my time per BPO too! Copy and pasting the addresses from the MLS directly to the BPO and to Google maps for distances saves a bunch!! Only way to go in my opinion.
