Thanks for the interesting info! Those most expenseive markets will see a lot corrections this year. The prices are too high to sustain the value. Also within each market, different types of homes are seeing different appreciation or depreciation rates. Condo markets in big cities are hard hit. Even in our Minneapolis area, which is no New York City, there are way too much supply of condos for the size of our population. Single family homes, on the other hand, are doing not too badly.

You're in Minnesota, what is your basis for thinking that the 5 cities stated above would see "lot of corrections this year"? Last time I have dinner in La Jolla or a latte in PA I was pretty sure that the real estate maerket was where is should be and will be.
