What fees do licensed assistants pay? Do they get floor time (if you have), office space, etc.?
- licensed assistants are at the expense of us, not under the expense of our broker. I supposed some agents have their assistants pay fees, but ours are on salary not commission, so their fees are included in our expenses (we are team, not a brokerage). Our licensed assistants do not buy/sell, therefore they do not deal with leads the same way our buyer's agents do. So no "lead" time.
How do you handle compensation for teams?
- we've worked with our broker to establish a 'cap' on total split charges to our team members. In other words, they are on (example) a 70/30 split until the cap is reached at which point they are on a 100% split. This agreement is completely separate from our team agreement with agents on our team (if that makes sense).
