I've seen many people with catchy names like: Besthomesby_____@yahoo.com, BetterhomesHouston@yahoo.com,etc. Well I have been trying to come up with something original but can't think of anything. I want to be a full service agent and not target only certain clients for example I don’t want one like: besthomesbymark@yahoo.com because that sounds like I only deal with residential. Well here’s a little about me if anyone wants to give me some help. My names Mark Montemayor, I'm 21 yrs. old and I live in Houston, TX. If you have any other questions please let me know. All opinions are welcomed.

Thanks for the advice. I need more creative minds to chime in. I agree that it needs to be something that people will remember however I would also like it to incorporate what I do which is real estate. I also agree with yahoo and other comman domains being unprofeesional but I have no clue on how to make your own web site. Does godaddy do all the web mastering? I'll do more research and figure it all out.
Thanks

The only one I like is taken. TradeMarkRealty.com, I dont really want my last name because it is hard to pronounce and long. I found MarkDeanRealty.com but Im still a little unsure of how it sounds. Dean is my middle name.

I agree with Troy. As someone who does a lot of emailing to clients and vendors, I really appreciate the ones that are related to the person I'm trying to contact. I would use "yourname@something.com.
It's not as though I'm going to contact you out of the blue just because you have a clever email address. If I need to contact a realtor, I have two in mind, one has an email like JohnTurner@yahoo.com and the other has a whole sentence @something I don't remember.com, Turner's getting the call.

I would recommend yournamesells(yourarea)@___.com
I really regret getting a yahoo email address, but I don't want to change it because I've had it for 3.5 years. Hey, at least it isn't AOL :-)

What you need is your own domain that can also become your permanent email address, i.e. "Mike@HoustonMike.com", http://www.HoustonMike.com is available by the way. http://www.MikeSellsHouston.com is also available I like http://www.HoustonMike.com best personally. As a side benefit, if you own your own domain, you can have as many email addresses going to that domain as you want, i.e. Relocation@HoustonMike.com, BuyNow@HoustonMike.com, RealtorMike@HoustonMike.com, etc.

I chose: http://www.MyTradeMarkRealtor.com. How does that sound? I'm still trying to build the site, and being new to this it might take a while. How does the domain name sound, or should I choose a different one?

I like the http://www.MikeSellsHouston.com one, but I may be partial (points to signature line). But it is catchy and memorable. And homes@mikesellshouston.com seems like an easy email.

You need to choose again. http://www.MyTradeMarkRealtor.com is a violation of the use of the ironically, trademarked "Realtor" word. Visit http://www.Realtor.org and type trademark into the search function. You can only use the word "REALTOR" in a URL if it also refer to either you or your company.

WOW. Thanks for the info. I didn't even consider that before I purchased the site. I'll have to choose another domain name.

Well I bought a new domain today and decided to go with http://www.MarkThatProperty.com. How does that sound? Thanks for all the ideas, it really helped.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
