"great long driveway leading to the back yard where there is a guest house quarters in the back next to the garage which seems to be a Grandfather Inn."

Not a comment but a listing with 29 photos but no photo of exterior. All interior and 1 showing the commuter rail sign about 1 mile away. Really?

I get that alot there. Why would you want to show a picture of the exterior if its in disrepair? Why not highlight the interior or any external highlights like close proximity to public transportation? Better than not putting any pictures up.

It gives me fits when there's no exterior shot. My assumption and the majority of buyers' assumptions are that the exterior is ragged out. So, they won't even consider looking at the property. There can be no other legitimate reason for not including an exterior shot.

EXCEPT, I have had properties where no matter where I stood, or how far away I got, or how close I got that the house just looked awful. Many times exterior shots will show no trees, or dead trees/landscaping, or a clumsy looking style, dopey-looking windows-- but you have to have SOME sort of exterior shot, or buyers make the above assumptions.

I have a colleague who once brought a real tall step ladder with her to climb up on to get a more pleasing shot of the exterior, framing out most of the detrimental aspects of the exterior.

"Pinch your cheeks cute." A phrase started by a local realtor who is making puffery an art form. Now being copied by several other agents. Makes me want to gag.

This one got a few laughs today in the office. From the private remarks:

"Owner occupied, but owner is blind so you have to knock loudly."

Oh and for a touch of irony, there is no photo.

Why isn't the listing agent showing the house if the owner is blind? What a jerk.

Investor former rental property. Not sure if the comment is due to a foul odor or if the previous tentant's name was Dahmer?
