Do not tell them that you know how to pick out a lock as it migh not be good idea! LOL! How about including that you aren't bothered by fleas, roaches, mice, foul smells, or mold. Seriously, include everything that you think would be important to them in choosing an REO agent. Your REO experience, accurate BPO history, etc.

What info should I include in a REO resume? Your experience in REO is the most important part.

Make sure you mention (if it's true) that you have overseen lock changes, evictions, debris removal and the other steps necessary to get properties to market as quickly and efficiently as possible. And that you know several tricks to get rid of fleas, and carry Vick's Vaporub in your car so you can stand to be inside some of these homes long enough to take pictures of every room. I wouldn't mention the lock-picking part either, or how much money you make on eBay selling the stuff you take from the properties... Yeah- just kidding about that last paragraph.

All they want to know is How many Years Experience you have doing REOs, What Zip Codes & Counties you Service, and A list of your current clients.
They dont care if you Overseen an eviction or a Re-key before, a lot of companies hire Asset Service companies for that now anyway

Erock, good question to ask. Hope people continue to post feedback.
I gotta say--with everyone calling themselves a REO agent these days, maybe a few specifics to show that you know what it involves would actually help. However, I'm leaving the feedback to the REO pros on this one.

Be sure to tell them you have a cash reserve of at least $50,000 to invest in their properties while you are waiting for expense reimbursements, and that the Proof of Funds will be provided upon request.

They want to know how long you have been doing REO, they want to know how many REOs you sold in the past 12 months, what credetials you have, do you have staff, do you have the financial reserves to do what needs to be done, who you have done REO for, some want references with contact info, and what education you have. That is pretty much it. If you have a designation (if you work for a national RE company as we do you earn designations based on production).
Good Luck and best wishes

I also include my sales price to list price, average days on the market, as well as number of sales for the year. Not sure anyone reads it but hey, at least now I have it - hadn't updated my resume since 2006 and it is quite diffent now.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
