There is this house I have people interested in. Everything looks great (even the price!) until we go in the garage. There is a crack across the whole ceiling. It isn't straight, but it doesn't go diagonal either. It goes from one side to the other, and and goes straight then it bends then it goes straight etc all the way across. The two walls that the ceiling connect have the following where it starts on one end there is no cracks, on the other where the ceiling meets the wall there is a slight (2 inch) crack, that comes down and meets the doorframe (the door that goes to outside, not the big garage door, but a side door that goes to the side wall). No where else in the house are cracks, the house was built about 40 yrs ago. At first I thought the actual problem was maybe too much weight in the attic from their storage, but when I saw that the wall had a crack too I wans't sure. Can anyone tell me what this could possibly be from, or any insights. I know this is all sepculation and guesswork but any ideas may be helpful. Thanks.
