I like your idea for a site. I have spent a year working on my site (PR4) and finally am at the top (#12) of Page 2 Google for my main keywords and hope to be on page 1 soon. My advice is to be clear on what your goals are and really research the competition, i.e. I learned that my previously targeted primary keyword was just too competitive. I retargeted my site for another keyword with even more searches and moved up quickly. Once your site is up and going, drop me an e-mail and we can link with each other. Good luck.
