I am thinking about obtaining a brokers license. I am starting to do preliminary research.
I am in Tucson AZ.
My plan is to have agents working for me as opposed to being a single self employed broker.
I was looking for some general feedback regarding the following:
1) Funding - How did many of you obtain the funds to start your brokerage? I would prefer to borrow rather than use personal funds. Is $50k enough? Does anyone know what requirements are needed to qualify for a business loan?
2) Office. A supermarket has a space(inside) for lease with 3 offices along with other amenities. They store is always packed and the 'office' it at the end of the checkout lines. What do you think of this idea? Would this hurt my image? Would clients resist meeting at the 'office?'
3) Business plan. Does anyone have a sample plan they would want to share? I know banks will want to see this before lending. I have found many helpful things on the internet but thought this is a good place for some real world answers!
