Pardon me if this has been covered, but where does EML get the information they use to determine my distance from the subject properties on orders?
I ask because it is always SO wrong. I would have to be located about 20 miles south of where I really am (or my office address anyway). Do they send orders based from this mystery location, or from the zips in my profile?

Thanks for the help...

They don't send orders, you have to click on Find Work and then accept the order. They get the orders from your zips in your profile.

I didn't mean to say when they 'sent' the orders. Sorry I was unclear.

When I click on 'find work' and orders are there, they have a distance listed there. I think this is supposed to be the distance from my office to the subject. Is this correct? If so, it is wrong. I know they have my office address correct - because I get my checks.

But, yes, sometimes they DO "send" me orders. They send me an email alerting me to an order that is available. It's rare, but it happens.

I don't know how it works for everyone else but I usually have the orders sitting in my email and can except.....however, even though my am assures me she hasn't had anything in my area in quite some time ( ie I haven't had an order since 3/3 but and 4 sent to me that day), I really think some one in my area has latched onto a bpo servicing system. I'm trying to follow that thread to see if it's been effective for anyone but don't have any conclusive evidence that it does.

They email orders to me...I have not done that much work for EML, but every job that I have ever gotten came a a result of an email notification, I never find jobs clicking on the find work button. I just started receiving jobs from them recently...

To get work on EML you have to apply yourself. First come first served.

Zip and mileage. I think zip codes have a longitudinal/latituinal center attributed to them which are different from your office address and from the subject address (and it's zip code l/l center). So they won't use entirely accurate mileages, but they should be within reason. And they are as the crow flies, not road distances.

Thanks for the explanation. It still seems way off, but I don't guess it's worth trying to talk to them about it. I will spend more time cleaning up my zips.
Thanks again!!

Hi guys. Is EML still sending out orders in the Birmingham, AL area? I haven't picked one up form them in a while. I'm just trying to make sure that I am not wasting my time by babysitting the "find wor" button.

I have been doing quit a bit of work for these folks lately. for the most part, they are great. I will tke the good with the bad. they pay good, they pay often. I do really well with the QC folks. BUT, there is one person tht seems to send quite a few of my orders back. Its uncanny, the others rarely do and this person does very often. Shoot, may be they are wrong and the person questioning me is right. I had a subject today, all the comps were the same model, same subdivision, same age, price....just cookie cutter city. It got sent back....it has gotten to where I just feel as if it is a power thing or something. I think I read something about something similar on here but searched and I am not finding it. It is one person in particular, nice enough but really difficult. Anybody having a similar experience?
