Do you pronounce it as individual letters "R-E-O" or do you pronounce it like a word "REEO"?

(Can you tell I'm putting off getting any work done this morning?)

REEO

That ok, I have an eccentric in law that drives a little metro and calls it his G-E-O instead of the quick and easy GEO. REO, GEO quicker, easier. Although, when speaking about a REO property, it may sound like you've got a property in Rio, which wouldn't be all that bad.

For me it's always been R-E-O (Real Estate Owned)... I guess you could use the acronym, but most use R-E-O.....

I say REEEO but I hear R-E-O more often.

When I hear someone say REO instead of R.E.O, I say "Thats one less person I have to worry about taking away business from me"

I got a call from a lady asking some VERY elementary questions about the whole purchase process of one of my listings.

Then she said, "Oh, I wanted to make sure you did things the same. I have an account with Wells Fargo and list their "Rios""

Pfft! Liar! According to the MLS she has NEVER listed ANY R-E-Os!

And why would that be? The biggest REO agent in my area says "REO". Personally I prefer R.E.O. But I hear both about equally at least here in the hick west.

I don't say Beepo for BPO, nor do I say Ree-o for REO.

LOL. I may start calling them Beepos.
