I currently have a mortgage company and since pretty much every bank out there is not accepting any more loans its almost impossible to do a loan. So I want to start getting into home owners insurance and possibly other insurances as well. Where can I start so that i learn about home owners insurance and so that I can have my office be doing insurance on top of loans?

You either need to get appointed as a broker for one or more companies or become a single company agent like Farmers, Allstate and State Farm agents. You'll also need to get licensed in your state. The company where you eventually receive your appointment will usually train you as much as you need.
