My lender failed to advise me I needed a years up front of home owners insurance until the day prior to closing. I thought it was included in with the closing costs and it is not. What will happen at closing if I can't get to my insurance agency before closing? The insurance agent did say they will accept a check in the mail and would fax a doc page saying that its paid for closing. Is this acceptable?
Terrible thing to find out during the last hours of closing..
What happens if the check is held up or doesn't arrive? (with my luck)...

Uggghhh
Thank you!

I think your Realtor dropped the ball on this one. Should have advised you early that insurance would be required to close your escrow.
