#163373 - 08/15/07 02:45 PM Websites with great IDX's to recommend ?
Anonymous
Unregistered

Hello,

I am from Central Mass. I used to have a website with http://www.massprospector.com and they just went out of business. I will never sign up with http://www.rls2000.com because I think they think they are the Microsoft of Massachusetts Websites (LOL) and besides I had them years ago and wasn't happy.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

That is what I use, too. I've gotten several leads off the IDX doing Google AdWords. So far none have amounted to anything, but it's only been a week. ;\)

By the way, Richard...how come you don't require registration on your IDX search?

I don't require registration as well for a search. I figure if they can't search on my site without registering first then they will move on to the next. I do require registration as they click features after they view the properties. I require a registration when they want additional information, i.e. clicking on the community stats tab, virtual tours and a few others require registration.

I require registration for my Adwords hits to my search page. I've tried it both ways, and definitely get better results with it required (better return for my PPC $). I feel that if they won't register, then they are probably not very motivated prospects. All registered leads go into my automatic drip system.

I'm using our free local MLS IDX which is not nearly as flexible as the commercial versions like IDXpro. I'll probably switch soon and then may get more selective about what triggers a registration requirement.

There's another good discussion on this topic at:
https://www.reliberation.com/blogs/mfarm...e-question.aspx

I should note that I don't require registration for those hitting my home page through google search or direct link. Only PPC hits require registration.

I have found that basically the less action that I require from the customer, the more likely they are to use the site and the longer they stay. They must register to get updated email listings, so to me, that is a better and more serious prospect.

Here is some good advise on search engine placement.

1parkplace has a robust IDX system with a strong backend drip marketing campaign. It's $30/mth. By far the best deal I found.

They plan to add their Search by Map feature by end of Sept. (per sales rep)...

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
