I'm thinking about getting a new website. I want something that is going to capture leads and is SEO friendly. Any recommendations?

I have a Point 2 Agent site that was Google PR 4 ranked in 2 months. I have now hired an SEO firm to work on my placement for Santa Monica CA keywords. Next I will hire a design team. If the site does not deliver leads that transact, then work on it until it does.

I will declare firstly I have a bias in recommending a company called Ubertor (www.ubertor.com) as I have a number of Realtor clients that are using their software and I provide services related to adding content etc. My bias aside, I think they are worth a look.

I have my site through, Real Estate Promoter. They gave me two sites, wasatchrealtyteam.com and utah-county-realty.com. One is a lead gen site the other is my personal site. I have been doing PPC on the lead gen site and it converts the traffic to the site into leads at around 10%. As for SEO I have been working on it myself for a couple months and I already have first page ranking on google for a ton of my key terms.

With that said, it really depends on your budget. If you want to keep costs manageable, then you may consider a template site. If you can find somebody halfway decent at customizing (check out your local college) that is handy with html & flash then you are set. HOWEVER, you get what you pay for.

If you are not constricted by budget, then a professional designer is the ticket. You really have to be careful though, as some are good and some are no so good...
