I think bringing little kids to previews only gets their hopes up unnecessarily. My last clients waited until their offer was accepted before they showed the kids and got them all excited. 30 days is a long time for a little kid to wait for escrow to close.

I believe it's a felony to improperly secure a child who later flys through the windshield and dies in a terrible accident.

I don't, but prove me wrong.

It isn't a felony! At least not in California.

I'm in NYC and we don't typically drive people around, but that doesn't mean I don't think about safety. If I haven't met the person and I'm not going to a doorman building, I meet the individual at my office. I then make a copy of their driver's license and pin it up to my board with the address we're going to. I've heard too many horror stories about things that happen to good people being in the wrong place.

Sometimes they ride with me, but most of the time they don't. Depends where we are going after the showing- if far from office or in opposite directions, i request separate vehicles. When gas was more expensive, I volunteered to drive all the time, saying it would be my expense and they could save their gas. they semed to appreciate it then!

Actually, that brings up a good point.

I would imagine that if we're shuttling clients around and get in an accident, the insurance company may balk at paying damages ... or even worse, if the client gets hurt and sues.

Do most of you insure your cars as business vehicles?

My car is insured as a business car. My C21 office requires it.
