The bank name is New Century Mortgage Corp. How do I speak to an individual in their loss mitigation department? I am aware of a property they own that's been foreclosed upon and I need to make an offer on it...they apparently have title on it...so I guess I need a human to speak to, without a hassle.

are you buying it as a principal?

you need to get an authorization to release from the owner of the property in order for you to talk to the bank/loss mitigation dept.

you can get the number from the seller's mortgage statements.

then you'd need to submit a short sale package along with your offer.

Another option would be to contact your Title rep and ask them to search through the "Lane's Guide". All Title companies have a Lane's Guide which has all the department contacts of every lender/servicer in the nation.
