Is there an appropriate place for a new member to introduce herself? Or is that not done here?

I don't believe we have ever had a forum just for introductions. Members just introduce themselves by contributing and responding to posts. The "introductions" forum is really a way for new forums to get people talking - and we never thought of that when we started this 10 years ago \:\)

Welcome....

It would be nice to add an introduction section.

Yes, I use it on TWT where I have more than 3,000 posts. I also use it on vilesilencer (Dan) which I recently joined but do not have many posts - yet.

Thanks, Andrew. Re Introduction forums, not everyone can just "jump right in" and start speaking. Many people "lurk" for a long time before participating and I think an Introduction forum is an easy and gentle way to start.

I am not adverse to setting up an "Introductions" forum - but first I would need a couple of volounteers to act as Moderators to keep out the spam. If anyone is interested just use the "contact us" link or PM me.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however.
