I am in desparate need of a wireless headset recommendation. My current one just does not work very well.

The person that I am talking to can hear every single sound in the background and thusly not me talking.

I need something to go around my ear, not the ever so painful ear buds.

If you have a recommendation of something you are pleased with, I would appreciate the info. I have the Verizon Treo 700WX in case that is important.

I have had several models from moto to plantronics and find the noise cancelling microphone, on the plantronics though earbuds from small - med- large has worked the best on my PPC WM5 ATT 8525 phone.

If you want the ultimate, then buy a Jawbone bluetooth headset. It uses military grade noise cancelling technology.

The demo on the web site has someone talking on a phone with a leaf blower in the background. The person on the other end of the conversation cannot hear anything but the callers voice! Another neat thing is that it automatically increases/decreases the earpiece volume in relation to the external noise level.

It's not cheap but it does work as advertised! You can buy them locally at a AT&T/Cingular store or order them online from different retailers. There are also lots of reviews on-line, for this product too.
