I'm going on vacation Sunday morning. I decided that yesterday would be the last day I accepted any orders so that I'd have everything done by today or tomorrow morning and give myself a little time to clean and pack. Sounds good, right? So yesterday I drive around taking most of my pictures except 1 that is right by a listing that I have to check on Friday morning. I check my email a little while ago and see an offer from a company that broadcasts. The email is over 30 minutes old, so I'm sure the orders are gone, but I decide to check anyway. Nope, they aren't gone. There are 21 orders sitting there. Now if I was a normal, rational person, I wouldn't take any of those orders. I've already done 30+ orders for June and I'm going out of town in 2 days. Of course, I'm not normal, I'm a BPO addict, so I decide to take the 7 that were near the 1 I still have to do tomorrow anyway. I told my husband and he just laughed and said "I guess I'm going to be cleaning the house before we go." Is there a 12 step program I can join? BPO Addicts Anonymous?

Its business not addiction. Finish those BPO's and you have given yourself more money for vacation! Totally burn out before you go, you will enjoy your trip more.

I live in Las Vegas and I think it's like gambling. When you get BPO's from broadcast companies it's like winning on the slots, except then you have to do the work.

my wife and i are "refresh" addicts...we're starting a local support group. we say the same thing..no more for right now, and then sure enough, a big bunch will come in, and of course we have to take them. "just this once, and that's it", or the famous "i can quit anytime" i agree with vegas, you feel ecstatic that you "won" all these orders, and then realize...crap, i just accepted 25 orders due in 2 days.

Well then I should REALLY enjoy the trip. I got pictures of all 8 yesterday, but just couldn't focus enough to get them all done. I have 3 to do this morning and then I get to start packing. We are going to North Carolina.
